The Technical Details & Blurb
Title: Chasing Mrs. Right: Come Undone, Book 2
Author: Katee Robert
Narrator: Kasha Kensington
Publisher/Date: Blackstone Audio, 04/05/14
A sexy category romance from Entangled's Brazen imprint...
It was only supposed to last one night…
Roxanne Stokes doesn’t believe in love. She does, however, believe in the sexy-as-sin stranger who literally knocks her off her feet in front of a nightclub. The chemistry sparking between them takes her breath away, and she’ll do anything to ease the pain in his eyes…until she realizes the handsome stranger is her best friend’s older brother who’s just come home from war.
Ian Walser had no idea the gorgeous woman he slept with the night of his homecoming party was his little sister’s best friend—or that she’d be gone before morning. Roxanne’s touch soothes him in a way nothing else can, and he’s not ready to walk away from that yet. Not when spending time with her gave Ian a glimpse of everything he’s ever wanted.
When his sister unwittingly pushes them together, he sees his chance. But convincing a woman who doesn’t believe in love that she’s his Mrs. Right might be harder than any mission Ian’s undertaken. Good thing this soldier likes a challenge…
I did enjoy this listen, Kasha Kensington did a fabulous job with the narration (I’m actually wondering if that is a pseudonym…her voice sounds so familiar but I don’t have any books with this narrator….but I digress). I really liked Ian, who is supposed to be the “bad boy” and while he kinda is, he is mostly incredibly sweet (but not in a sissy kinda way) and while the chemistry with him and Roxanne is smokin ….Roxanne was not my favorite person, she did kind of grow on me, but for most of the book I did not care for her. I thought she spent too much time fighting it, while I kinda understand it….I did not agree with her reasoning.
Anyway, very, very hot read/listen and even though this is book 2, you don’t have to have read book 1. I had not read/listened to it yet and had no problem following anything. My Rating break-down:
Narration – 4 Stars Story – 3 Stars
For an overall rating of 3.5 stars
