I think I enjoyed the audio for this one much more than the book, although since it was 2010 when I read it, I did not remember a lot so it was kinda like listening to a new book. 

The narrator is a "new to me" narrator and I thought she did a really good job. There were a couple of things that bugged me, but I think some of it was just the process of finding the characters voices in the very beginning. One that really stands out though is Eli's constant use of "sugar", I'm not sure if it is the narrators voice or the writing, but it really made Eli sound condescending at times (or maybe it was just me). The other thing I noticed (and this is an observation, not a criticism) I don't recall Ian & Braden being as "Irish" as they sounded, but again it's been 3 years since I read the books so I may not be remembering their characters. Those minor issues aside, Nia Partington did a great job on the voices and I enjoyed listening to her narrate this story.

For the story, while this is the first book and is mainly about Eli and Tyana we are introduced to several other characters who I found to be very interesting but we don't really get a lot of back story on them and assuming this series is not going to be continued I don't know that we will get their stories (I don't recall if in the second book, Ian & Braden's book if we get more on some of the other Falcon members...). 

This was slightly frustrating because I wanted more information on all the characters, to flesh them out a bit more, while it was not a short story it kinda seemed like one information wise. I did really like Eli and Tyana, they had some great chemistry together. And how cool is Eli’s shifting ability. 

I am looking forward to listening to the next one and getting Ian & Braden’s story.
